One Long Year
This has been a long year of changes.
Almost a year ago, this was our kitchen:
Old Kitchen Nov. 2002
New Kitchen Nov. 2003
It was a long haul, and a lot of money spent, but we feel it was spent well. We are homebodies, Paul and I. We have our two dogs, our work, and our little cottage near the sea. And now we have the kitchen we've been planning for all these years we've lived here.
We are both tired of all the little details we've had to decide on but it's not a huge "yuppie" house, or anything, so it wasn't really too awful. It's only a small little Cape, with more grass,flowers and shrubs than house, but that's the way we like it. The dogs have taken over the sofa, I have my books and webtv, and poor Paul gets relegated to the bedroom for his leisure time, but it's a quiet kind of life, and with the new kitchen all done, we can all breathe a little easier.
Now comes the hard part, saving up money for our next adventure - our next trip across the pond in about a year and a half!
