I am in shock still, very tired, and in need of a week's worth of sleep.

But our baseball team did it.

The Boston Red Sox just won the World Series!

No words can express how happy we are feeling here at Crow Cottage tonight.

When they won, Paul had only one thing to say to me before going to bed...

"Hey Rebec! I can die happy now!"

He has waited all of his 59 years for this day. For this night. For this win, by his favorite baseball team.

Boston has waited since 1918 to win a World Series, and it's finally happened.

Those wonderful guys!

That's it from here. There will be no games back at Fenway Park, which is a little bit sad... it would have been nice to win "at home", but Salem, and Boston - and ALL of New England - is celebrating at this moment, I can hear them from out my window.

There have been fireworks going off, and cars honking and kids screaming and whooping it up.

I only pray no one (else) is hurt or injured in the celebrations.
