I like my fellow men, but there are times when it is wonderful to be utterly alone in a wide landscape.
There aren't many places in England where you can do this, but you can do it in my Yorkshire.
We're wishing we were spending a snowy Christmas in Yorkshire, something we have never done - not in this lifetime, at least. But for now, "New" England will have to suffice for this little family at Crow Cottage.
