HE MADE THE PAPER It's only a local town paper, The Marblehead Reporter, but it's fun when someone you love gets accolades in there... of course, we don't get this paper, living in Salem as we do, now, but a friend just told me about it. Read down thru the story on F. Lee Baily until you come to the story on Paul Crowell - the squirrel story! Paul is a good guy, most of the time, anyway. He's quite a famous sort of character too, in Marblehead, having sold his lobsters on the steps of Fort Sewall beach for probably 35 years, only stopping that practice last year. It was just too much rushing around to put in a full day of lobstering and then try to make it back down there to sell to the public from 2-5 on the weekends. I'm sure some people miss having him there, he was part of the scenery, and got his picture taken by people from all over the world visiting beautiful Marblehead.
I will be on vacation in another week, for 2 glorious weeks. I have not had 2 days in a row off in a year, and I am ready for this one! My friend, Sandy, is coming here from Iowa to visit with us, and we are going to be tourists together. It will be fun to see the sights of my own town for a change - something locals very rarely get a chance to do! Can't wait! We are praying for cool, sunny days, and no hurricanes, thank you very much!
